Water & Hot Water

While tap water is perfectly safe to drink, most locals drink bottled water, as it they find tap water very hard.

The safety of drinking water quality in Cyprus is monitored by the Health Inspectors of the Medical and Public Health Services of the Ministry of Health and the Local Authorities.

There is an eco friendly solar system at the property, which supplies hot water when the sun is out – which means most days of the year.

HOW TO HEAT THE WATER ON A RAINY/CLOUDY DAY:

Please check the tap first, that there is no hot water. Allow the water to run for a few minutes. If no hot water please proceed to the next steps.
Press the timer BOOSTER button switch which is located outside the bathroom and select 30 mins (hot water for 1 person) or 1 hour (hot water for 2-3 persons). Hot water will be available after the preselected time.
Once the above time has passed, turn on the tap on the hot water side and let it run for 3-5 minutes as the cold water already in the pipe has to empty first, then the hot water will start to come.
If there is a large gap of time between using the hot water by each person, you will need to repeat the above procedure.
