Electricity

Electricity is included in the reservation price for up to 8kWh per day booked as stated on the website you have made your reservation. This allowance is more than enough to operate all property electric appliances including the air-conditions where applicable. Any kWh used in excess to the above will be charged extra and deducted from your damages deposit.

The electricity meter reading is done on your arrival and on your departure day.

AVOID EXTRA CHARGES

HOW TO AVOID EXTRA ELECTRICITY CHARGES:
– Switch off the air-condition unit if you are not in a specific room.
– Switch off the air-condition units if you are not in the property.
– Keep the patio/balcony doors and windows closed while the air-condition units are working.
– Turn off the lights if you are not in a specific room or if you are not at the property.
– Turn the outdoor lights off if you are not in the outdoors area of the property.

TROUBLESHOOTING

In the unlike case of the whole property not having electricity please check the below:

  1. Is there a general outage/fault by the Cyprus Electricity Authority for the whole area? You can check this HERE by selecting the district of the property (ie. Limassol, Larnaca, Famagusta etc). Any outages/faults usually are resolved quickly and the above link usually states the estimated time that the outage/fault will be resolved. Unfortunately this is not under our control in any way.
  2. In case there is not a general outage/fault by the Cyprus Electricity Authority, please check the main panel(s) of the electricity board which is located inside the property and usually near the entrance door. Large properties usually have 2 electricity boards (the main one downstairs, the second one upstairs for the upper floor). Please confirm that all switches there are ON (upwards). If any switch is OFF (downwards) please turn it ON (push upwards). If the problem is not solved, switch OFF the last thing you turned on at the property and then try again the electricity board to make sure that all switches are ON.
