We are passionate about environmental sustainability and inclusive hospitality.

There is no Planet B
We are passionate about environmental sustainability and we do our best to act responsibly. We believe that “Going Green” is more than a marketing tactic. By choosing to stay with us you will already be taking a step of support for a more eco-friendly way to travel.
In this section of the guide you will find out what we are doing to be more environmentally sustainable and what you can do to contribute to this during your stay.
1. We use LED lamps to reduce power consumption.
2. We use natural detergents such as vinegar, baking soda etc to remove heavy soil.
3. We have solar panels for hot water. Solar panels heat the water with the sun without using any electricity.
4. To save energy we have installed a Booster time switch which heats the water when it is not a sunny day and automatically switches off after the preselected time.
5. We have a strong focus on locally sourced materials and equipment which help the local communities. Buying from local produce suppliers reduces the distance that our produce order has to travel, reducing emissions from transportation, as well as giving us the opportunity to support local businesses in the process.
6. We reduce food waste by donating any unopened left food found in the property after the guest departure to local charities.
7. We use refillable dispensers for shampoo/body wash, hand soap and dish washing liquid. This enables us to fully diminish one-use plastic bottles which harm the environment.
8. We are fully paperless. We removed property information books from all our properties and replaced them with our web app which we forward to all guests via email prior to their arrival. We also, use a paperless registration form and provide all invoices to our guests via email instead of paper. Furthermore, our housekeeping team uses an app instead of papers.
9. We focus on minimising our carbon emissions by asking all our guests to turn off the air conditioning in unoccupied spaces and utilising more natural light.
1. Switch off aircondition units and lights when not needed or when the space is unoccupied to reduce power consumption.
2. Reduce plastic waste and especially one use plastic during your stay.
3. Limit water waste whenever you can.
4. Re-use linen and towels whenever you can.
5. Embrace recycling.
6. Support local small businesses.

We filter places, not people
Our mission is to make it easier for everyone to experience Cyprus. Life is made richer with new experiences, and we believe that it’s only possible to truly appreciate them if everyone can comfortably show up as themselves. Research by Booking.com shows that more than half of LGBTQ+ travellers have had less-than-welcoming or uncomfortable experiences at a property where they were staying.
Our aim is to make sure that a truly welcoming stay awaits LGBTQ+ people in all our properties. That way, you can focus on experiencing the full joy of travel, no matter who you love or how you identify.
All Truly Cyprus holiday homes we are committed to offering inclusive hospitality for our LGBTQ+ guests, and all our properties are Proud Certified. Travel Proud certifications are provided by Booking.com to holiday accommodations and hotel partners after they have completed training about the LGBTQ+ inclusive travel programme.
At Truly Cyprus, everyone is welcome and free to be themselves – no matter who they are or who they love.
